Transamerica Square consists of the Office Tower, Sidewalk Retail, Plaza Courtyard, and a Parking Garage. The Office Tower stands 10 stories and has approximately 432,000 rentable square feet. The Plaza Courtyard area separates the Building from 400 N Church Residential Condos and is used daily by tenants to enjoy a break away from the office.

Transamerica Square is located on N. Tryon Street between 7th and 8th Streets. The large floor plates of the building almost take up an entire block!  Transamerica is unique in the shape and design of the building with two halves of the building belonging to either the low and high rise floors.

The parking garage below the building spans the entire block between Tryon, Church, 7th and 8th Street.   With 655 spaces, 6 elevators, and 4 stairwells the parking garage not only hosts parking for the Building tenants and retail visitors but for 400 N. Church Condo residents as well as St. Peter's Church located next door.

Visitors come from all over to view Ben Long's "Continuum" located in the dome of the building's arcade-- 15 feet high and 30 feet in diameter -- that rests atop a three-story arched walkway. Continuum is Ben Long's first curved surface and exterior fresco. The painted surface measures 1, 047 square feet and the dome's circumference is 88 feet.   The subject matter represents the cycle of life's continuous disintegration and rebirth, thus reinforcing the notion that the more things change, the more they remain the same. The fresco was completed in March of 1998. Similar to the earliest frescoes found in Europe and elsewhere, Long has painted portraits of his friends and family. His wife and four sons, for example, are depicted beside his self-portrait, the painter at his easel.
